Dear friends in music, this is a sad duty to announce that lost. Peter “Principle” Dachert, longtime bassist and songwriter for experimental post-punk band Tuxedomoon, was found dead Monday morning of natural causes, according to his bandmates. He was 63. Dachert’s death comes a little more than one year after fellow band member Bruce Geduldig died on his 63rd birthday. Looks like a course number 63. Tuxedomoon was to play several dates in Europe, starting on Jul. 28 with a show in Italy which I was planning to attend. The band obviously has canceled the European tour.
