January 26, 2013Once we found the review of our Albedo Flat One cables in Italian, posted on this new to our eyes internet magazine / webzine Audiocavi, I contacted them hoping there will be a chance to get in touch with somebody who can explain me in English what it is all about. How it works, who they are, why just cables ? [as this is the only subject one can see ].Fortunately my hopes paid back and I got response quickly. After following email exchange I got English text of their review with a permission to re post, as well as all my answers regarding mentioned questions arrived. I am looking forward to see more information about your webzine.
Please find my text corrected in an attachment. I kept all pretty much
as I could in original shape, I re wrote some sentences and used better
words when applied ,etc.
I just wanted to confirm the procedure with you as I am not sure if I got it right.
My understanding is that You are an independent webzine.
You are not taking orders from manufacturers. Instead
you keep testing products which had been supplied
by the board journalists ,friends and bunch of enthusiast
who are staying closer or further to the circle.
Another words, clear hands, independent point of view and
no financial interest or business involved ( or correct me, please)
You using the same / few ? system / s? for your valuations.
You testing exclusively cables – (possibly) on the same reference set up.
You are not doing any electronics comparisons.
I am looking for all this confirmations as I wanted to introduce you to my audience
with no mistake and be sure that information I put in is true and right it any meaning.

2) Yes, we are independent, we do not take orders from anyone and no money from anyone. All cables we feel we buy them at our expense and we use them in our HIFI Equipment. Our only aim is to help High Fidelity fans to disentangle the interesting world of audio cables.
3) In Italy there are no independent audio newspapers(except the famous TNT audio) and those that exist, write about 3 or 4 cables to the maximum at year. We are unique, we are the only online, we are the only ,and the only completely free.
4) We are on line again (after a test done two years ago) with new web design, by only 4 months and we had huge acclaim from the public, other newspapers and by many manufacturers, and this is definitely what we wanted.
As it is difficult to test the cables in stores, our rapid success is proof that there is interest and our webzine useful.
We are already at about 500 pages views at the day. Our goal is to reach the largest possible number of fans.
5) Some producers are interested in our test and put our logo to 5 stars in their pages. Some major High Fidelity stores , have expressed real interest and advise their clients to read our tests.
I’m really happy to have brought on line this initiative.
About the tests
The facilities are of a good standard and the tests are done using (as we write in the articles) groups of different devices, and the result is the average for with the different electronic equipment. We use Sources and Amplifiers Naim, Primare, Accuphase, Primaluna, Unisor Research, Opera Consonance, Jeff Rowland and PMC speakers, Monitor Audio, Audes, Sonus Faber, Focal and Dynaudio too.In summary we are users of many cables, High Fidelity fans, and music played fans too. Simply, that’s all.
